Today I listened to Peter Gabriel's 80's hit Solsbury Hill. I'll save you the Google search, go to this page for the lyrics. The former Genesis musician's solo career has been a journey. Solsbury is my favorite of his post-Genesis songs. It's a catchy tune and magically draws the listener in. The lyrics are the real power of this song. Like the Matrix movies, the song repackages a general conversion into approachable analogy. Gabriel's character hears a call to more and wrestles with leaving the normal life to follow the bizarre.
