Running with Purpose

Last week Charles Gibson featured Anne Mahlum, a 27-year old marathoner. She turned her passion for running into an organization to help the homeless in Philadelphia. Back on My Feet [link here] is "Moving the homeless forward one step at a time."

"Back on My Feet is my way of making positive change. Running is one of the most empowering activities there is because there is no end. There is always another mile, another road, another right turn. There is no buzzer and there is no referee. It has taught me so much about life, especially the simple notion that to get anywhere, you have to take it one step at a time."
