They were a staple thirty years ago. Men of all walks carried handkerchiefs in their pockets. They were useful for a runny nose, a date with tears, or to wipe sweat from the forehead and neck. Somewhere along the way handkerchiefs became something for old men.
Today I almost bought a package of handkerchiefs. They were really not expensive. Unfortunately I didn't get them and tonight had a sneezing fit, with nothing to blow into. There are several great uses for handkerchiefs. I intend to carry a couple with me after I buy them -- one for myself and one to share.

Are you ok? I can understand you had a tragic accident...but this is a loving and caring site from a couple who lost their child through childhood leukemia and went through so much to deal with the dilema of it.
I also have a grandson with leukemia and one never knows.
It was not your place and time to place your predicament upon this family.
Elizabeth is referring to a post I placed (http://mikeswheels.blogspot.com/2008/06/fourteen-years-later.html) on the blog of a dear college friend who lost her son to Lukemia earlier this year. His name was Mathew and his mom is is Karen.
I believe Elizabeth misunderstood our relationship and probably read the wrong blog. If you were to read the post, you'll see its relevance to the situation.
Mike - don't put those nasty boogies back into your pocket! Although you may be proud of the color and / or consistency of something you created in your nostril, there is no known reason to save them. Ditch the handkerchiefs and go for the more sanitary, modern version of the hanky - it's called "KLEENEX". uncle rob
