Oprah Does it Again

This week I was flipping through the stations and caught Oprah. In the audience were people who had helped out during Katrina. She had set them up thinking they were going to just share stories. But that's not the Oprah style. She was also making a big deal about her favorite things of 2005. So, as is her style, Oprah gave everyone in the audience one of everything on her list. We're talking a $170 can of popcorn, fudge, boots, clothes, a Blackberry, and even a Vaio! I was amazed. So, I'm sure some people will nit-pick the lady and say how she is "flaunting" her money or complain that it could have been spent better, but it was cool to me. A few years back my mission statement came to me, give generously, serve graciously, and lead responsibly. Oprah lives that on her show. It's been a while since my last "good news" post. But I thought this qualified.
