Last Friday my sister-in-law, Crystal, gave birth to a brand new baby boy. Jarred was there as little (well, at 8lbs 8ozs he wasn't so little) Brody made his entrance. Wow! Now I am an uncle!
There are so many cool things about being an uncle. They (oh, I can say we) get to make a lasting impression on the little guys. They love momentos. Regular phone calls and letters are always a perk. Then there are the secret things Dad and Mom would never allow (like soda after 9 o'clock).
Jarred is an excellent brother and husband and will be a great dad! With her fun-loving and enthusiastic personality, Crystal will be a fun mom. I look forward to being a lovable uncle.
